Voice Notes Diffuse Arguments

Text has no tone. A simple "fine" can sound angry, sarcastic, or genuine depending on how you read it. My partner and I made a rule: if either of us feels tension rising, we switch to voice notes immediately.

Hearing someone's voice reminds you they're a human being with feelings, not just words on a screen. The tone, the pause, the sigh — it carries so much context that text strips away.

We've had so many near-arguments that turned into laughter because one of us sent a voice note saying "I'm not mad, I just had a long day" and the other heard the exhaustion, not the anger.

Try it. The next time you feel yourself getting frustrated over text, press the voice note button instead.
